Central Ohio golf fans will see Nationwide at the Memorial Tournament for at least six more years.
Last December, the Tournament and Nationwide announced they have extended their partnership through 2021. The 2016 Memorial Tournament will be the first year of that new agreement. Having Nationwide on board as presenting sponsor of the tournament means six more years of providing a world-class golf event in Columbus while raising money and awareness for Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
Nationwide began its presenting sponsorship of the Memorial Tournament in 2011 after two decades maintaining a long-standing, high-profile relationship with the PGA TOUR as one of the game’s most passionate supporters. Since then, Nationwide has used its affiliation with the Tournament to shine a national spotlight on the life-changing work being done at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and help raise funds to ensure they can continue to help children and families.
Nationwide takes a great deal of pride in being “More Than a Business,” and one way it demonstrates that is through its sports sponsorship platforms. The company’s partnership with the Memorial has helped raise $6 million for Nationwide Children’s Hospital since 2011, including a record $1.7 million in 2015.
