The 2019 Memorial Tournament begins Monday, May 27 at Muirfield Village Golf Club. This is the 44th edition of the prestigious invitational Jack Nicklaus started in 1976.

The list of top-10 players in the world rankings competing at the Memorial includes No. 3 Justin Rose (2010 Memorial winner and reigning FedExCup champion), No. 4 Rory McIlroy, No. 5 Justin Thomas, No. 6 Woods (1999-2001, 2009, 2012 Memorial winner), No. 8 Bryson DeChambeau, No. 9 Xander Schauffele and No. 10 Rickie Fowler. Another prominent entry is world No. 24 Phil Mickelson, a five-time major champion and ranked second on the PGA TOUR’s all-time money list behind Woods.

A total of 12 past Memorial winners will be returning to Muirfield Village Golf Club next week. The list includes not only Woods, Kuchar, Rose and DeChambeau, but also K.J. Choi, Jason Dufner, Ernie Els, Jim Furyk, David Lingmerth, Hideki Matsuyama, Vijay Singh and Steve Stricker.

“Once again, we are proud and excited about the field for this year’s Memorial,” Nicklaus said. “We have most of the top players in the world, with a great mix of enormously talented young and veteran players. The response for months from patrons and the Central Ohio community has been extremely positive, and now with this field, we can look forward to another fantastic week at Muirfield Village Golf Club and raising impactful dollars for Nationwide Children’s Hospital and other local charities.”
