DUBLIN, Ohio – Officials of the Memorial Tournament presented by Workday announced today that the Tournament has officially accepted the entries of highly-ranked players Cameron Young, Ludvig Åberg, Akshay Bhatia, Chris Gotterup, and Russell Henley to compete in the 2026 Memorial Tournament.
Also announced today to strengthen the world-class field are the commitments of four major championship winners. Jason Day is the owner of 13 PGA TOUR titles, including the 2015 PGA Championship. Shane Lowry counts the 2019 Open Championship at Royal Portrush among his three PGA TOUR titles. Adam Scott’s career resume includes 14 PGA TOUR titles highlighted by the 2013 Masters Tournament. J.J. Spaun is the reigning U.S. Open champion after capturing his first major at Oakmont Country Club. He recorded his third PGA TOUR title this season at the Valero Texas Open.
The list of top-10 players in the Official World Golf Ranking committed to the Memorial Tournament includes No. 1 Scottie Scheffler (the two-time reigning Memorial Tournament winner), No. 2 Rory McIlroy, No. 3 Young, No. 7 Tommy Fleetwood, No. 8 Xander Schauffele, No. 9 Spaun, and No. 10 Gotterup. Henley is ranked 12th in the world, and Åberg is 13th.
The top players in the FedExCup standings who have committed include No. 1 Scheffler, No. 2 Young, No. 5 Si Woo Kim, No. 6 Åberg, No. 7 Gotterup, No. 8 Jacob Bridgeman, No. 9 McIlroy, and No. 10 Bhatia.
Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, the Memorial Tournament presented by Workday is June 1-7 at Jack Nicklaus’ world-renowned Muirfield Village Golf Club.
Young, 29, will make his fifth start at the Memorial Tournament with a 74.07 scoring average and earnings of $237,140. He recorded his best finish at Muirfield Village Golf Club last season with a T-25 effort. Young enjoyed a breakout season in 2021-2022 that included seven top-5 finishes, five of which were second-place results, and was named PGA TOUR Rookie of the Year. The Scarborough, New York, native earned his first career PGA TOUR victory in 2025 at the Wyndham Championship and has added two more wins this season at THE PLAYERS Championship and Cadillac Championship to go with six top 10s over 11 starts.
Åberg, 26, joined the PGA TOUR during the 2022-2023 season after receiving the 2023 Jack Nicklaus Award presented by Workday as the Division I national collegiate Player of the Year. He won the 2023 RSM Classic in his 16th career start on TOUR (11th as a professional) and grabbed his second victory last season at The Genesis Invitational. He has competed in 11 TOUR events in 2026 and recorded six top-10 finishes, all coming over his last seven starts. The Swedish native will make his third consecutive appearance at the Memorial Tournament where he owns two top-20 results, with a T-5 effort in 2024 his best finish. His scoring average at Muirfield Village Golf Club is 71.88 to go with $1,085,666.67 in earnings.
Bhatia, 24, will make his fourth consecutive start at the Memorial Tournament coming off his best finish at Muirfield Village Golf Club in 2025 with a T-16 effort. His Tournament earnings total $519,200 to go with a 73.20 scoring average. The California native is ranked No. 26 in the world and has three top-10 finishes this season over 12 starts, including his third career PGA TOUR title at the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard. Bhatia joined the PGA TOUR as a full-time member for the 2022-2023 season and earned his first TOUR title during that campaign at the Barracuda Championship.
Gotterup, 26, has won four times on the PGA TOUR since becoming a member in 2024. He recorded his first win during his rookie campaign at the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic, followed by the 2025 Genesis Scottish Open and two wins this season at the Sony Open in Hawaii and WM Phoenix Open in a playoff over 2014 Memorial winner Hideki Matsuyama. The 2021-22 Jack Nicklaus (Division I) and Fred Haskins Award winner – two of the three collegiate national player of the year awards – will make his third Memorial Tournament start this June at Muirfield Village Golf Club.
Henley, 37, is the owner of five PGA TOUR titles. His most recent victory came last year at the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard. Through 11 starts this season, Henley has recorded three top-10 finishes, including a T-3 at the Masters Tournament. It was his sixth-career top 10 in a major. The Georgia native is ranked No. 26 in FedExCup points. Henley captured his best Memorial finish over nine starts at the 2025 Tournament with a T-5 effort to bring his scoring average at Muirfield Village Golf Club to 71.83 and earnings to $1,536,939.17.
In other Tournament news, the Memorial announced today that Golden Bear Club tickets have reached sellout status for the event’s 50th anniversary. The premium option, offering a climate-controlled sports bar venue conveniently located between Hole Nos. 10 and 14 with a comfortable redesigned interior, television viewing and elevated food and beverage options available for purchase, has been a popular ticket upgrade since it was introduced in 2014.

Additionally, the Memorial Tournament offers complimentary grounds access (up to four tickets) to all active, retired, reserve, veteran military personnel, Ohio National Guard, Gold Star Families along with federal, state and local law enforcement officers and Fire Fighters/EMS. Youth 15 and under also receive complimentary grounds admission to the Memorial Tournament with a ticketed adult.
