the Memorial Tournament's 2011 cell phone & mobile device policy

Cell phones and mobile devices are permitted on the property for the 2011 Memorial Tournament in accordance with new PGA TOUR regulations announced in February. The use of cell phones and mobile devices during the Memorial is restricted to designated areas and not allowed on the playing field (tees, fairways and greens), practice areas or players' scoring area. Patrons must keep cell phones in the “silent” mode at all times. Photo and video use of all mobile devices is prohibited beginning Thursday and capturing video is not permitted at any time. Violators will have their phones confiscated; they can be retrieved at the close of play at Lost and Found within the Clubhouse.    

In additional Tournament news, first-year presenting sponsor, Nationwide Insurance will provide 30,000 complimentary Sirius Satellite Radio earpieces to patrons. There will be a total of 7,500 distributed per day, Thursday (6/2) through Sunday, while supplies last. The earpieces will allow patrons to listen to the live Sirius broadcast while at Muirfield Village Golf Club throughout all four days of competition. Visit one of the following distribution locations while supplies last: Nationwide Insurance Exhibitor area near the main driving range; Main public parking lot (6 tee) and Exhibitor Area; Pro Shops (clubhouse, main, No. 6 and No. 15 gate); President’s Cup Display (on the main service drive across from the west driving range); and at the Spectator Relations tent.

All-week Patron Badges to the 2011 Memorial Tournament are available to the general public. The badges, valid May 30 – June 5, cost $155 and include a complimentary Wednesday Practice Round ticket. As always, kids 12 and under can attend for free and kids 18 and under are admitted free on Wednesday for Junior Golf Day. The public may call the Tournament Ticket Office 9 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays at 877-MT BADGE or visit www.thememorialtournament.com to purchase badges. Daily tickets for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday practice rounds are also available. The cost is $30, and they are valid for all practice-round days.
