THE MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT PRESENTED BY NATIONWIDE ANNOUNCES STAFF ADDITION AND NEW POSITION

Howard named Director, Sales and Business Development; Hosket moves into new Tournament position as Director of Client Activation

Dublin, Ohio – Officials of the Memorial Tournament presented by Nationwide announced today that Paul Howard has been named director, sales and business development, and Susan Hosket has assumed a new Tournament position as director of client activation.

“The addition of Paul and assignment of Susan as activation lead further strengthens the sales team for the Memorial,” said Tournament Executive Director Dan Sullivan. “The Memorial Tournament presented by Nationwide is now well positioned to grow its sales efforts over the coming years and elevate its position as one of the strongest brands on the PGA TOUR and a premiere sporting event in Columbus.”

In his role, Howard will be responsible for leading corporate sales for the Memorial with a focus on driving new relationships and securing renewals.

Howard joins the Memorial after eight years (2009-2017) as Senior Director of Corporate Partnerships for Columbus Crew SC. With Crew SC, he oversaw corporate partnership sales and activation efforts focused on driving growth and aligning partner business needs with Crew SC assets. During his tenure with Crew SC, Howard secured the largest sponsorship in the club’s history.

Howard has 18 years of sales experience in professional sports, including the NFL, NHL and Major League Soccer. He is a graduate of The Ohio State University where he was a four-year varsity athlete and team captain in soccer.

Hosket is entering her eighth year with the Memorial Tournament. In her new role, she will support corporate sales renewals and take the lead with contract fulfillment and Tournament week client activation.

The 2018 Memorial Tournament presented by Nationwide is scheduled for May 28–June 3 at world-renowned Muirfield Village Golf Club. Kids 18 and under can attend for free with a ticketed adult. Daily practice round tickets for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are also available. The introductory cost is $35 through January 31, and they are valid for all three practice-round days.
