DUBLIN, Ohio – At 5:55 p.m. EDT today, Tournament officials announced the final field for the 2023 Memorial Tournament presented by Workday. The contingent of 120 players features nine past winners of the Memorial and is led by reigning FedExCup champion Rory McIlroy, and 2022 PGA TOUR Player of the Year and current world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler.

The 2023 Memorial Tournament presented by Workday will be held next week, May 29 – June 4, at world-renowned Muirfield Village Golf Club, and will mark the 48th edition of the prestigious invitational Jack Nicklaus started in 1976. Three-time major winner Larry Nelson is the Tournament Honoree.

The list of top-10 players in the Official World Golf Ranking competing includes No. 1 Scheffler, No. 2 Jon Rahm (the reigning Masters champions and 2020 Memorial Tournament winner), No. 3 McIlroy, No. 4 Patrick Cantlay (2019, 2021 Memorial Tournament winner), No. 5 Xander Schauffele, No. 6 Viktor Hovland and No. 9 Matt Fitzpatrick, the reigning U.S. Open champion.

The top players in the FedExCup standings who have committed include No. 1 Rahm, No. 2 Scheffler, No. 5 Jason Day, No. 6 Cantlay, No. 7 Keegan Bradley, No. 8 Wyndham Clark, No. 9 Schauffele and No. 10 Kurt Kitayama.

In addition to Cantlay and Rahm, other past Memorial winners returning to Muirfield Village Golf Club include 2022 winner Billy Horschel, Hideki Matsuyama, Jason Dufner, K.J. Choi, Matt Kuchar, David Lingmerth and William McGirt.

Other notable entries include major championship winners Stewart Cink, Lucas Glover, Zach Johnson, Shane Lowry, Francesco Molinari, Colin Morikawa, Adam Scott, Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, Danny Willett and Gary Woodland. The field has won a combined 28 major titles.

"It is very exciting to see what is arguably our strongest field ever competing next week at Muirfield Village Golf Club," said Jack Nicklaus, the Tournament Founder and Host. "Over the years we have been very fortunate to receive strong support from the game's top players, which not only ensures that we will have a great event for our patrons, but also enables us to make a positive impact in the community, and shine a light on charity through a collaboration between Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Stephen and Ayesha Curry’s Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation, and the Nicklaus Children's Health Care Foundation. With the golf course in superb condition, it should be a terrific week of competition and I look forward to eventually shaking the winner's hand."
