Final field announced for 2025 the Memorial Tournament presented by Workday
DUBLIN, Ohio – At 9:15 a.m. EDT today, Tournament officials announced the final field for the 2025 the Memorial Tournament presented by Workday. The contingent of 72 players features six past winners of the Memorial Tournament and is highlighted by 2022, 2023 and 2024 PGA TOUR Player of the Year, reigning PGA Championship winner and the current No. 1 player in the world and FedExCup points, Scottie Scheffler.
The list of top-10 players in the Official World Golf Ranking competing in the official PGA TOUR Signature Event founded and hosted by golf legend Jack Nicklaus includes No. 1 Scheffler, No. 3 Xander Schauffele, No. 4 Collin Morikawa, No. 5 Justin Thomas, No. 6 Ludvig Åberg, No. 7 Hideki Matsuyama (2014 Memorial Tournament winner), No. 8 Russell Henley and No. 9 Sepp Straka.
The players in the top-10 in FedExCup standings that have committed includes No. 1 Scheffler, No. 3 Straka, No. 4 Thomas, No. 5 Ben Griffin, No. 6 Andrew Novak, No. 7 Henley, No. 8 Corey Conners, No. 9 Shane Lowry and No. 10 Åberg.
In addition to Scheffler and Matsuyama, other past Memorial winners returning to Muirfield Village Golf Club include 2023 winner Viktor Hovland, 2019 and 2021 winner Patrick Cantlay, 2013 winner Matt Kuchar and 2010 winner Justin Rose.
Other notable entries include major championship winners Keegan Bradley, Wyndham Clark, Matt Fitzpatrick, Lucas Glover, Brian Harman, Adam Scott and Jordan Spieth. The field has won a combined 21 major titles.
Additionally, there are seven past FedExCup champions represented in the field: Scheffler (2024), Hovland (2023), Cantlay (2021), Rose (2018), Thomas (2017), Spieth (2015) and Brandt Snedeker (2012).
The Memorial Tournament presented by Workday is May 26–June 1 at world-renowned Muirfield Village Golf Club.
NOTE: Players gaining eligibility via the Aon Swing 5 category include: Bud Cauley, Ryan Fox, Harry Higgs, Mackenzie Hughes and Matti Schmid.
Daily practice round tickets for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are available for this year’s Memorial Tournament by visiting www.memorialtickets.com. The cost is $20 per ticket, and they are valid for one-time use on any practice-round day. Children 15 and under can attend the Tournament for free with a ticketed adult.
