Two-time major championship winners Xander Schauffele and Collin Morikawa commit to play in the Memorial Tournament presented by Workday

DUBLIN, Ohio – Officials of the Memorial Tournament presented by Workday announced today that the Tournament has accepted the entries of reigning PGA Championship winner Xander Schauffele and 2020 Wanamaker Trophy recipient Collin Morikawa to compete in the 2025 edition of the official PGA TOUR Signature Event founded and hosted by golf legend Jack Nicklaus.

Schauffele and Morikawa will be joined at the 50th playing of the Memorial Tournament by the newly minted winner of the Truist Championship Sepp Straka – one of only two multiple winners on the PGA TOUR this year – along with major champions Justin Rose and Adam Scott.

The Memorial Tournament presented by Workday is May 26–June 1 at world-renowned Muirfield Village Golf Club.

Schauffele, 31, is coming off the fourth multi-win season of his career since turning professional in 2015. His two victories in 2024 came on two of golf’s biggest stages, with his first major title at the 106th PGA Championship thanks to a record-setting 21-under-par performance at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky. Five starts later, Schauffele captured his second major, and ninth-career PGA TOUR title at the 152nd The Open Championship at Royal Troon. All told, he recorded 15 top-10 finishes over 22 starts last season, including three runner-ups (THE PLAYERS Championship, Truist Championship, and FedEx St. Jude Championship) to go with his two wins. In seven starts this season after missing two months with a rib injury he has recorded four top-20 finishes, all coming consecutively over his last four events. His best effort a T-8 at the 2025 Masters Tournament. The California native is ranked No. 3 in the world and 54th in FedExCup points. He has claimed six straight top-25 finishes at the Memorial Tournament in his seven appearances, collecting his best result last year with a T-8 effort. His scoring average at Muirfield Village Golf Club is 71.62 with career Tournament earnings of $1,445,710. Schauffele’s career accomplishments include the 2016-17 Arnold Palmer Award as the PGA TOUR Rookie of the Year and a gold medal in 2021 at the XXXII Summer Olympics in Tokyo in the men’s individual stroke play competition with an 18-under-par finish.

Morikawa, 28, is set to make his sixth start in the Memorial Tournament, where he has finished second on two occasions, a playoff loss to Patrick Cantlay in 2021 and a one-shot deficit to Scottie Scheffler in 2024. His career Tournament earnings are $3,237,539 and his scoring average is 71.29. The Los Angeles native has recorded six PGA TOUR victories since turning professional in 2019, including multi-win seasons in 2019-20 and 2021-22. During his 2019-20 campaign, Morikawa won the Workday Charity Open¾contested at Muirfield Village Golf Club¾and his first major at the 102nd playing of the PGA Championship. In 2021, Morikawa added his second major championship at The Open at Royal St. George’s. The University of California product claimed his last victory at the 2023 ZOZO Championship and is coming off a 2024 campaign that included eight top-10 finishes, with his runner-up effort at the Memorial and a second at the TOUR Championship counted among them. Morikawa is ranked No. 4 in the world and No. 10 in FedExCup points. He has earned three top-10s during the 2025 season, including two second-place finishes.

Straka, 32, is enjoying his first multi-win season with a victory at The American Express to go with his Truist title last week at The Philadelphia Cricket Club. The Austrian is on pace for a career year with 10 top-25 finishes over 14 starts this season, with four inside the top-10, and is ranked No. 2 in FedExCup points and No. 9 in the world. Straka’s PGA TOUR resume includes a total of 25 top-10 finishes, with four wins, since turning professional in 2016. The Georgia Bulldog finished T-5 at the 2024 Memorial Tournament, his best result at Muirfield Village Golf Club over five starts. Straka’s career Tournament earnings are $1,100,705.67 and his scoring average is 73.17.

Rose, 44, is the holder of 11 PGA TOUR victories, including the Memorial Tournament in 2010 and the 113th U.S. Open in 2013 at Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, Pennsylvania. The Englishman’s resume also includes an Olympic Gold Medal earned at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, where Rose also made history in the opening round when he recorded the first hole-in-one in Olympic Golf with a 7-iron on the 191-yard, par 3 fourth hole. Rose’s major championship record contains 20 top-10 finishes, with five runner-up results to go with his U.S. Open title. Rose has finished second in the past two majors, with a T-2 result at The Open Championship in 2024, followed by a playoff loss to Rory McIlroy at the 2025 Masters Tournament¾his third second-place effort at Augusta National. Rose’s last PGA TOUR victory came in 2023 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Rose has 15 starts at the Memorial Tournament, with seven top-10s, including two second-place results and his victory. Over the course of his more than 25-year career, Scott has spent 12 weeks at No. 1 in the Official World Golf Ranking to go with 14 victories on the PGA TOUR, including the 2013 Masters Tournament when he became the first Australian to win the Green Jacket. Scott has claimed five top-10 finishes in each of his last three PGA TOUR seasons, including two runner-up efforts at the Genesis Scottish Open and BMW Championship in 2024. He finished last season ranked 4th in FedExCup points, tying his best result since the season-long points competition began in 2007 (Scott also finished 4th in 2013 and 2015-16).
